Can you take hormones after having a stroke and taking Plavix?
My mom had a stroke about 2 years ago (age 39, not obese, not a druggie, not a smoker) and is on the blood thinner Plavix. Since her blood is so thin her period is BAD. She wants to get a hysterectomy, but then she would have to take hormones after that. Since you can’t take any medicine while on Plavix would she be able to take hormones?
Thanks!
What is the likelihood of my depression returning?
I have a history of severe depression. My mom is very against medication and counseling, and reluctantly allowed me to go on the lowest dosage of zoloft. It helped, but now she wants me to go off of it and stop going to my doctor. My fear is that my depression will return. What are the chances of my depression returning, and how can I handle it if and when it does?
Why do my eyes start hurting whenever I have my contacts on for a couple of hours?
Almost everyday, one of my eyes get bloodshot and my eye starts burning a lot. It stays bloodshot for a day or two. My mom wont take me to the eye doctor because she dont want to pay too much because we dont have insurance. Can anybody tell me what is wrong with my eye and how I can fix this? Thank you.
How to lower high blood pressure in healthy teen?
I'm 16 and have inherited high blood pressure from my mom. They have ran numerous tests(kidneys, blood, urine, etc) and have found all to be normal. I am athletic and eat rather healthy compared to most teenagers. I rarely ever drink soda and never add salt to my food. What are some ways to lower my blood pressure? Eat more fruits and vegetables? Drink more water? I REALLY do not want to live the rest of my life taking a pill to keep my blood pressure low.
