Does any one have a home remedy for asthma symptoms?
Author: Started to get sick a couple days ago with a sore throat, runny nose, low grade temp of 100. Now my asthma has flared up. I Am short of breath, tight and wheezy in the lungs and coughing allot, however I'm not coughing any thing up. Got out my Hand held nebulizer and started using it every 4-6 hours. The wheeziness is better however I am still short of breath and just feel terrible all over. Does any one have any suggestions like some home remedy's or something.
Ways to relieve asthma symptoms with alternative medicine? ?
I have asthma and recently it has been giving me some trouble. I have been put on Prednisone and am already using flovent and albuteral. does anyone have any homeopathic remedies that might help relieve some of my asthma symptoms?
Can an allergy to sulfites cause asthma or does it have to be a pre existing condition?
I think (self-diagnosed) I have an allergy or intolerance for sulfites. It started off with hives, then progressed into my throat tightening a bit, now I have asthma like symptoms. I've been in perfect lung health my whole life, so I'm wondering if there's a correlation between sulfites and this onset of asthma.
Can you get asthma from having bronchitis?
I have had asthma since the doctor gave me medicine for bronchitis. Could this medicine have created a dependence in my lungs? I never had any asthma symptoms before that.
What type of doctor should I see for asthma/respiratory issues?
My child has had a cough for months that hasn't responded to antibiotics, steroids, or allergy meds. I don't believe my family practitioner is providing appropriate care and would like to see a specialist but I'm not sure what type to contact. Do I need an interal medicine doc or a pediatric allergist or…??? The FP is beginning to suspect asthma at this point but my child is not wheezing or having difficulty w/physical activity or any of the other asthma symptoms, just a chronic cough.
To add more details, I don't need referals, can see any doc I like who accepts my insurance. Even though he's not responding to prednisone, singular & claritin, FP said keep treating & come back in Oct (coughing since June 1) for recheck. It's gotten worse in last 2 wks even w/meds. With school starting I believe more aggressive evaluation & treatment is in order!
