I am in medical school and the text says adults should have 1.2 stools ( bowel movements) per day. How do you measure this? weight? length? height?

Ok I am very regular with bowel movements..same time every morning. But today I have been up for about 8 hours and have already had 5 large stools. Its not diarehha, they are soft and formed really long. I havent changed anything in my diet so what could this be? I've also been feeling low n energy and weak..is this because of all the pooping? Im drinking plenty of water but im kinda scared to eat anything for the rest of the day

I'm 22 years old and I'm having some problems. I have streaks of blood in my stools and I;m having a hard time going to the bathroom. I keep getting constipated. I eat fiber rich oatmeal and fiber bars almost everyday and I still have issues. I'm constantly bloated and gassy. Could this be colon cancer?

I have been having a lot of problems with recurring constipation and have wanted to try a colon cleanse to get rid of the compacted stools. I just have a feeling that there are stools that are stuck in my bowels. My diet isn't terrible but isn't good either. Can you give an natural recommendations or commercially available colon cleanses that would loosen the compacted stools? I have seen a bunch of websites that try to see these. Which is good for this?

I'm trying to get my cats to have firmer stools. Nothing is working that is in the norm, like strongid, albon, antibiotics, or immodium, changing to better food or to dry or wet food. In the past i noticed a modest improvement if i disinfected the water bowl daily (like it gave them too much bacteria from their fellow kitty's mouths). I've started giving brewer's yeast which seems to help the kittens that i foster, but not my grown cats. So what besides bacteria and yeast live in a healthy bowel?
