I thought that was very odd on the preparation for surgery instruction sheet. I’m not having bowel surgery, it will be a low bikini incision.
it’s a partial hysterectomy if that info is helpful, and bladder sling surgery.
I never heard of a request like this before. I didn’t have to do this when I had lapband surgery, major gall bladder surgery or my tubes tied. (The lapband surgery IS on your stomach also.)

I just recently had my gall bladder removed, and have not been able to go regularly. Is it just my bowels readjusting or could it be the pain medicine that is causing the constupation. I have tried several different methods to make my self go, namely eating a lot of foods that are high in fiber, drinking plenty of water and even do the unthinkable, (taking an enema) but nothing yet.
