Why is my 14 month old sons bowel movements yellow?

Author: My son started a low dose antibiotic 4 weeks ago. At first he had diarrhea, but as soon as I put him on an acidophilus it went back to normal. Last week he got the stomach flu and was throwing up so I stopped giving him the antibiotic at that point since it wasn’t staying in him. That was 10 days ago. He seems to be all over the flu also but his bowel movements are yellow now. I don’t know if it has something to do with the flu, or if something else is going on now.
Can anyone help me?

What is your bowel movement supposed to look like?
is it supposed to be hardened or somewhat soft as it passes through? I’m only asking b/c I heard I always have diarrhea..and it doesn’t always feel that way. Mature answers please, all other answers will be reported.

My doctor put me on Donnatal but doesn’t seem to help. Anyone been on Donnatal and did it work for you if so how long did it take for you to see results ?

I have been newly diagnosed. Can this condition ever be cured? How do you manage diarrhea- if you suffer from it. Any help and advice would be very welcome.
