I have just been diagnosed with Irretible Bowel Syndrome, and was wondering if i can drink alcohol?

Author: I was diagnosed with a variation of ibs. im ment to stay away from fatty, spicey and acidic foods, but was wondering about alcohol. if i can drink any what is the best, i dont think i’l be able to deal with it if it flares up really bad again. thank you.

How would the use of alcohol or recreational drug effect a person who has had their colon removed?
The colon was removed and the person now has a ileal anal reservoir . My concern is that since there is no colon how would the use of these items effect the other organs and absorption into the body.
