Author: My boyfriend has too many bowel movements thorughout the day. Its causing us to spend too much time indoors because he always has the urge to go, specially after we eat. Anyone know whats wrong with hiM?

it's possible that he has irritable bowel syndrome. Irritable bowel syndrome is characterized by a group of symptoms in which abdominal pain or discomfort is associated with a change in bowel pattern, such as loose or more frequent bowel movements or diarrhea, and/or hard or less frequent bowel movements or constipation.
If your boyfriend eats fatty foods or fried foods this can bring about this condition. for now he should be eating bland foods such as rice, bananas, and fresh baked bread. I'm enclosing a link to a website that has very good information on this condition.
Have him check with his medical doctor and see if this is what he has.

Are they *loose* movements, or are they well-formed? Does he have a really sore rectum?
How long has this been going on?
It could be diarrhea. I suspect what you're talking about, though, is spastic colon.
Spastic colon is another term for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), a common disorder characterized by abdominal cramping, abdominal pain, bloating, constipation and diarrhea.
The term "spastic colon" describes the increase in spontaneous contractions (motility) of muscles in the small and large intestines associated with IBS. These contractions are sometimes called spasms. However, because IBS may also be associated with decreased motility, the term "spastic colon" isn't always accurate.
The cause and severity of IBS varies from person to person. Treatment is aimed at relieving symptoms, and may include diet changes, stress reduction, and anticholinergic or anti-diarrheal medications.
I had spastic colon back in the 1980s, when I was living next to my mother-in-law, Beelzebub. I cured the problem by moving about 150 miles away.
