What is the usual time for a check up after a bowel resection due to cancer?

A temporary ileostomy was created which was then reversed two weeks later. This was now about 10 weeks ago and I just wondered when I would see surgeon again.

Call your surgeon. usually a quick wound check and review of bowel habits is all you need between 4 and 8 weeks post op unless you have any problems. Hopefully, the fact that you are asking here means you feel great - nvertheless at least one post op vsit is a good idea. Best Wishes

call the office and ask - all MD’s have different requests - some 2 weeks, some 4, some don’t want to see you unless theres a problem.
