    Stool softeners, digital rectal stimulation, or in bad cases surgery. Some impactions can be so bad that you vomit feces.

    Ummm that happened to my mom and it wasnt pretty, the doctor actually put his hand in her rectum and removed it, bit this was 10 years ago. Aint sure if they still do it that way or not.

    My daughter was diagnosed with "Mega colon" and she was impacted but would leak fluid (large intestine natural lubricant). Her pedi GI said that when she potty trained she did not completely empty her bowel, so feces was always stimutating the nerves which made her desensitized to the urge to defecate so then the feces would build up "IMPACT" her. When she was in kindergarten we had to admit her for a Go-Lytly flush, which for an adult is worse then the worse labor so just imagine what it was like for a 5 1/2 year old! {Tube down nose to belly and a very strong laxative continuously flowing and increasing amount per hour for 24 hours}

    It is very important for you to not get impacted b/c a worse case scenario is that your bowel can perforate which means feces goes all over inside and is a severe infection and is often a schetchy recovery if not caught on time.

    BELOW is what I have had to use BUT in no way am I saying to use them without consulting your PCP first. If you are seriously impacted a doc needs to treat you. The below are for keeping from becoming impacted or to remain clear.
    ** Magansium Citrate is an over the counter laxative that is very similar to what docs have you use before a lower GI exam and of course Prune juice and Fleets enemas.
