Heavy bleeding when having a bowel movement?

I've been having problems with my bowel movements for the past year or so. I saw my doctor, and she said I had a minor case of hemorrhoids and recommended that I take my time on the toilet. Since then, the pain has mostly subsided, except since yesterday, I've been feeling a raw sensation down there, and I've just bled enough to make all the water red. Sorry for the graphic description, but does anyone have experience with something like this and can give me some tips before I see my doctor again?

Are your bowel movements too hard? Are you eating enough fiber? Hemmeroids can also be triggered by certain foods. Have you eaten something that you dont normally eat lately?
I hope youre able to get this figured out with your doctor because I know it can be painful and embaressing.

This could be potentially life threatening go to the doctor asap!!!!!! Bleeding from there is not a good sign and if it turns the toilet bowl red you could be bleeding out and not even know it.

Happens, gross yes, but it happens. Don't eat too much fiber, it will make your movements too hard. Stick with bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Use witch hazel on a soft cloth to clean the area and revisit with your doctor,

i had the same thing and what the surgeon stated i should do is eat more fiber and drink less soda as it dehydrates you. you should also go back and see your doctor as it has come back. insist that the doc refer you to someone who can examine you internally to make sure that it's just hemorrhoids. good luck.

It might be a tear. Use a stool softener . This will you to help heal the area. I had a tear and it is really painful.

Is the Blood bright red? You may have anal fissure, a tear in the rectum. Try to take more fiber into your diet. That makes your stool soft. I don't know if this helped but go on google and search 'anal fissure'.
