When working out, is it normal to have more frequent bowel movements?
I’ve been working out 4-5 times a week for about a month now by riding bike and hiking as I’m overweight. I quit smoking via Chantix and have been not smoking for 12 days now (it’s great!). I’ve never been regular in my bowel movements but in the past couple weeks I’ve been much more frequent and they’ve been larger. Why is this?

Yes exercising does help to make you more regular. You ever notice when people walk their dogs they have a bowel movement. Well the same thing with humans. I remember being stuck bedridden in the hospital once and man you talk about irregular. Try lying horizontal for 24 hours a day and you don’t even have the help of gravity. Exercise helps to move your waste through the intestines.
