what is the surgery like to remove internal hemorrhoids?

I went to the dr today and had an exam. He said I have some pretty bad internal hemorrhoids and I should pry have them removed. I'm going to my surgeon (the man who did my appendectomy a month ago) on january 13th and I want to know the pros and cons of surgery and what kind of surgery would it be? Do they put me out and I go in an operating room or is it less serious? thanks

its serious and its painful i have heard i am not sure but if you are saying you hvae bad ones and they should be done then i would get couple opionions beforei went through that. its always best to hear from couple doctors. they would put you out and you would be inpatient i think maybe start as outpatient and then if its not good they will change it.

    * Topical medications (listed above) are useful in reducing irritation.
    * A sitz bath is a small tub specially designed to allow the soaking of hemorrhoids without taking a bath, they are available at most pharmacies. Soak the rectal area in hot water for 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day. (This will help relieve symptoms and aid shrinkage)
