Why is everyone so upset about another Great Depression occurring? Times have changed, ?
Author: psychiatrists are now available everywhere to treat depression.
There are just as many commercials on TV on how to treat Depression as their is bad news about this Great Depression occurringg again.
Also, it is much more acceptable in this day and age for people to go seek mental help for Depression.
Someone please explain to me, I don’t understand.
I’m not sure but I think you are confusing two entirely different things.
The Great Depression of 1929 and the 30’s was ecconomic. Don’t ask me to explain, the stock market crashed, as it is close to doing right now, businesses lost their money, had to lay people off, millions of people were unemployed. People lost their life savings when banks failed, that is why there is so much concern about keeping the banks from going under.
Depression, in the medical sense is a physical and mental conditon. I’m sure that many people involved in this and in danger of losing their houses, their savings, their jobs, their pensions are getting very “depressed” but that is not the same as the ecconomic Depression they are warning about.
