How many people on here have asthma?
Either severe or moderate? And do you take Advair? I have had my asthma more under control with Advair than any other drug in my past 19 years of having asthma. Does anyone know if they are working on a better drug than Advair? To me that is the best thing that could have happened to asthmatics. I just wish it was invented sooner, so that when I was younger, I wouldn't have been hospitalized as much as I was. Cold air hurts my lungs, too. Sometimes when I take my Advair correctly and don't miss a dose, I can go a whole day without my inhaler, which is really cool! But anyway, if there are some suggestions about a new medicine or diet plan that helps improve asthma symptoms, ex: caffeine free drinks I heard helps. And has anyone tried that Mucinex to get rid of mucus? Can asthmatics take it? I'll ask my doctor, too, but just wondering if it helps, especially since during the cold season I get more mucus in my lungs, especially during a cold.
I agree with Dr. Devil about the Singulair, because my doctor put me on it (while taking Advair), and I didn't notice a difference, and because it was costing me each month I just stopped it. I know I shouldn't do that, but I needed the money.
I didn't really think about caffeine drinks helping, but if my asthma ever starts acting up, I'll have to try it.

Yes, I like Advair, too!! As for Mucinex, I do take it. Anything with Guaifensenin is good for us asthmatics. The Guaifensenin clears out the mucus and it's a primary ingredient in the Mucinex.
Lately, I've been using something called Bronch-eze. Works along the same lines as Mucinex and is a bit cheaper.
