How often is a home pregnancy test wrong?

My last period started December 13, 2008. My fiance and I have tried to conceive 6 times since then. I still haven't gotten my period and it's now February 3rd, 2009. I took a home pregnancy test but it came back negative. How often can they be wrong? I have a lot of the common symptoms such as fatigue, swollen breasts, hunger, nausea and the metallic taste in my mouth.

If you took the test after your period was due then it should be accurate, however sometimes it takes a bit longer for there to be enough HGC for a correct result.
Go to your Dr and request a blood test, tell them your period is late. That should give you a correct answer.
