How long should I wait before having sex with a condom after using an anti-fungal?
Author: I’m recovering from a yeast infection. I just finished my last dose of a 7 day treatment last night. I know anti-fungals reduce condom effectiveness and I’m wondering how long my boyfriend and I should wait before it’s safe to have sex.
If you did an over the counter medication, you better make sure it worked first. Sometimes it takes more than one dose. If you think that it’s gone and you are sure there is no more medicine inside your vagina (takes about 3 days for the vagina to flush itself), go ahead and try it with a condom. If it’s at all painful, chances are, it’s not gone.
