Is there any way to have a rattlesnake as a pet if the venom glands were taken out?

If so, please list where I can find them online, as of yet I have had terrible luck in my online searches.

Also, does removal of the glands show any noticable scarring on the snake, or do they do it through the mouth?

I would not recommend having some one do it . If you want a venomous snake that's one thing but it would be cruel in my oppion to alter the snake . It would also be dangerous ( to the snake )and you would have trouble finding someone to do it .
I owned two Monical Cobras that I had flown in from Florida . They were beautiful but had very nasty tempers . You can own venomous snake if you know what your doing and do not care about handling them . You should check your local laws since many ( most ) states will not allow you to own them .You could check the classified adds at these sites

My one died and I tried to find a taxidermist to stuff it . No one would touch it .They can be deadly even dead . Have you seen any pictures of what one can do to a person?
