How do I add feet to a cabinet?

I have an old cabinet that I want to restore. I picked up an old chair at a thrift store that has feet with lag bolts attached. I want to use these feet for the cabinet, but don't know how to attach them. Can I just use a drill to make holes and screw them in, or do I need to use some sort of bolt?

There are many ways these things are attached. It sounds like what you want are hanger bolts in the feet and T-nuts in the cabinet carcase. This is not the only way though, I can think of about 6 or 8 ways legs are attached to casegoods.
