If you had asthma when younger, should you be in a room with wet paint?
My brothers wanted to paint a room and they wanted me to help. I told them I heard that I shouldn’t be in a room with paint fumes due to asthma, espcailly since when i was younger I wasn’t allowed to be in those rooms with wet paint. Even though I havent had an asthma attack in years, should I still be away from that room?

Asthma needs to have a trigger. Triggers are those things that will set off an asthma attack. Common triggers are smoke, dust, dust mites, mold, mildew, pollen and perfumes just to name a few. What triggers asthma for one person may not trigger it for someone else. Many people have more then one trigger.
To answer your question, if paint fumes are an asthma trigger for you, then no you shouldn’t be in that room.
